I find putting my makeup on each morning to be really calming. I have to focus on what I am doing and let go of the million other things I have on my mind at that time of day. Having this time to myself each morning helps to clear my head and put me in a better frame of mind for the new day.I like to keep the top of my dressing table nice and clear as possible. I have a couple of boxes which I use to store jewelery I use regularly, a little dish to put my rings in when I take them off, a jar with my make up brushes, and a few pretty accessories.

I found this gorgeous wrapping paper at a discount store to line the drawers with. In the center drawer, I keep my hair appliances. I drilled a hole in the back of the drawer so I could put a power board into the drawer. I attached it to the side with Velcro to make it easy to access. Having the power board in the drawer makes it really quick and easy to plug in, use and put away my hair appliances, and because it is in the drawer, it means I don’t have cords all over the place. I can just shut the drawer and everything is hidden.
